Head of Business Development

About the Role

This is a part-time job that can be done flexibly and is estimated to take around 20 hours per week. Over time this job could expand to become a full-time role. Typical Business Development hourly rates can be found on Glassdoor.

As an experienced salesperson and networking pro, you will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where you will be relied on for your expertise, professionalism and collaboration. We are looking for a Head of Business Development to join our cross-functional team and leverage their sales expertise to help us grow our revenue by selling to fertility clinics, OBGYN offices, holistic providers and others. Must have a strong passion for women’s healthcare, the ability to collaborate and brainstorm new ways to grow our startup and a desire to help support this community.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with the CEO to develop a B2B sales strategy for fertility clinic sales and partnerships

  • Developing meaningful relationships with fertility clinics, OBGYNs and holistic practices

  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings

  • Discovering best practices for selling Fruitful’s B2B offerings

  • Building a lead pipeline and CRM system to track deal flow, follow-up and close new clients

  • Brainstorming new ways to achieve both client and revenue growth

  • Presenting alongside the CEO to help get new clients, when appropriate

  • Assisting as needed with marketing activations and events, when appropriate

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of working in sales or business development (bonus if it’s in a healthcare-related field)

  • Experience building and managing a sales funnel and lead pipeline

  • Comfort navigating the healthcare system and getting on the phone with the right people

  • Ability to speak the language of fertility specialists and women’s healthcare providers

  • Interest in startups, technology and women’s health

  • Strong communication, networking and IT skills

  • Collaborative and proactive working style, detail- and goal- oriented, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage tight deadlines

  • Strong critical thinking aptitude, desire to learn and ability to flourish with minimal guidance and handle uncertainty

  • Willingness to be flexible, roll with the punches and troubleshoot problems

  • Ability to work remotely and use company tools like Slack, Zoom, Trello and Hubspot
